District 2 is hosting an educational offering on October 1, 2008 from 6-9pm. Registration begins at 5:30pm. The offering features nationally known expert, Joyce Black RN PhD, and regional expert Alan Didier RN. The objectives for the offering are: 1.Identify the updated staging system for pressure ulcers and deep tissue injury; 2.Discuss the CMS reimbursement for pressure ulcer treatment and its effect on care; and 3.Describe an evidenced based practice approach to system changes which can reduce the pressure ulcer burden.
